What’s new in version 0.5.2

  • Added links in the top menu to the pages from the Settings section.
  • Added Apple Silicon support. Now MUD will download updates only for your architecture.

I miss the automatic checking if the newest version of the app you're updating is compatible with your OS version. Please bring it back.

MacUpdate has the Architecture for Beta 0.4.4 to 0.5.2 listed as Intel 64 and Apple Silicon. But Go64 shows every version as Intel 64 and NOT Apple Silicon.

I would love to see a feature for which I would gladly pay the annual subscription: support for HomeBrew updates! A graphical interface for this package manager. Or at least being able to manage ALSO the packages installed via Homebrew through the MacUpdate Desktop.

Even if it is “only” a beta version, it is still shameful how few SW updates are found. Where other apps show 37 updates, MacUpdate only finds 14! I had already used the software years ago and the accuracy was much higher. What's more, I can't temporarily exclude individual apps or their versions from the search. This is a must-have, and I am surprised that this function is not implemented. With this almost non-existent range of functions such as update results, not even the low beta price is justified. Sorry, this software is a huge disappointment, and I am pretty sure you can do much better and if not then remove the app from download area

I was subscribed again MacUpdateDesktop-0.5.1(0.5.1), downloaded the program, installed in my system, and… total disappointment 😒 Back to MacUpdate 3.4.5, more compact and which remains more pleasant 😜 Hoping that the program will be corrected and improved in can time. Don't give up!
